Grow Local, localsalt, and The Farmland Trust are teaming up to get more local food grown and eaten on Salt Spring Island.
Together we’re holding a fundraiser for food…It’s a Foodraiser!
Local farmers and gardeners have planted over 3,000 feet of beets, potatoes, carrots, onions, rutabagas, turnips and radishes.
Now that the seeds are in the ground we are looking for people who want to support our local food system by buying these crops.
Profits from the sale of the crops will be donated to The Farmland Trust to fund food system programming at The Root in 2023.
